THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister designate V D Satheesan called on former chief minister and designated opposition leader Pinarayi Vijayan at his residence. The meeting was at Pinarayi's rented house in Bakery Junction, Thiruvananthapuram.

Pinarayi Vijayan and his family came out of the house and received Satheesan. Pinarayi Vijayan's wife Kamala and daughter Veena were present. Kamala Vijayan offered tea to Satheesan. Later, Pinarayi and Satheesan had a friendly conversation. Former MLA V K Prashanth, former minister Kadakampally Surendran and CPM leader Anavoor Nagappan were also in the house.

Satheesan told media that he had come to meet Pinarayi Vijayan as the most senior political leader in Kerala, as the chief minister for ten years and as the party secretary for 16 years. 'He is coming to the post of opposition leader. We should be able to stand together for the important issues of Kerala. We hope that we will be able to do so. We are requesting his support in that regard. Governments are a continuation. Kerala will not exist if a programme started by one government is changed by another government. He has been invited for the oath-taking.' Meantime, Pinarayi Vijayan did not respond to the media.
