THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister-designate V D Satheesan said the final decision on the ministers will be taken today itself. Replying to the question on whether Ramesh Chennithala would be part of the cabinet, Satheesan said he is my leader and would personally visit him. He also reacted to campaigns targeting the Muslim League and the recent fuel price hike.
‘A meet will be convened for the formation of the cabinet. Detailed talks will be held with UDF allies. K C Venugopal, Ramesh Chennithala, Sunny Joseph and AICC leaders will take part in the discussions. A final decision on who will be included in the cabinet will be taken today. Ramesh Chennithala is my leader. I will meet him personally at his residence. We will have a good team.
The BJP tried to communalize the Muslim League during the election time. The Muslim League played a decisive role in this victory. They have stood with us since the time of K Karunakaran. Attempts to isolate and attack them are aimed at creating hatred in Kerala. The Muslim League has always stood against communal forces. Those opposing them should understand that. We will never allow to divide Kerala. We will oppose such attempts at any cost. Ours is a secular Kerala, and we will not allow even a scratch to be left on it.
Satheesan said we are discussing on what can be done to reduce the financial burden on ordinary people in the fuel price hike.
