LUCKNOW: In a move to promote cultural heritage, the Uttar Pradesh government has declared the film Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart tax-free across the state. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced on Sunday, following a high-profile screening at Lok Bhavan.

Directed by Hardik Gajjar and featuring Siddharth Gupta in the lead, the film is being viewed by the administration as a vital tool for educating the younger generation on Indian traditions and values. To ensure a wider reach, the government has issued directives to organise special screenings in every district.

The star-studded screening was attended by Governor Anandiben Patel, Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, and various senior BJP leaders. An official statement from Lok Bhavan noted a spiritual atmosphere during the event, with the hall resonating with chants dedicated to Lord Krishna and Radha.

Released on May 7 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, the film boasts a veteran supporting cast including Jackie Shroff and Ashutosh Rana, alongside newcomers Sanskriti and Sushmita Bhatt.
