KOZHIKODE: After Medical College Assistant Commissioner K Sudarshan submitted a charge sheet naming four persons, including doctors, as accused in the incident where scissors got stuck in her stomach during surgery, Harsheena temporarily called off her strike. Harsheena and the chairman of the protest committee, Dinesh Perumanna, said that they are putting an end to the 104-day-long Satyagraha strike putting faith in the police and the government.

"The police confirmed through scientific investigation that the scissors got stuck in my stomach during the surgery in the medical college. The report submitted by the Medical College AC to the court completely rejects the Health Minister's argument that it is not clear from where the scissors got stuck. I can identify all the four persons in the accused list. I endured excruciating pain for five years. I should get adequate compensation for that," Harsheena said.

Chairman of the protest committee Dinesh Perumana said that the strike will resume if the doctors in the accused list do not face departmental action.
