Three people injured after being hit by car driven by drunken cop

IDUKKI: Three people sustained injuries after being hit by a car driven by a drunken police officer in Kanchiyar, Idukki. The vehicle was driven by Idukki DCRB Grade SI Bijumon, who was reportedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.

Bijumon’s car collided with another car and two motorcycles. Following the crash, locals intervened, stopped the vehicle, and alerted the authorities. The Kattappana Police later arrived at the scene and took Bijumon into custody. The injured were immediately hospitalised for treatment.
