
HYDERABAD: Actor Ram Charan sustained an injury during the shooting of the film Peddi, directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Buchi Babu Sana. The injury occurred above his eye. According to a report by Hindustan Times, the injury is not serious and the actor has already returned to the set to continue shooting with the team. The accident took place on Tuesday during the filming of an action sequence. The injury above his eye required four stitches.
Earlier, the makers of Peddi had released a glimpse video, showcasing Ram Charan’s rugged look, for which he underwent a major physical transformation. Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor plays the female lead, and her reported remuneration is Rs 6 crore. The film also marks the first collaboration between Ram Charan and Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, who gained recognition with the blockbuster Uppena, the film is being made on a large budget using advanced technology. Other cast members include Jagapathi Babu and Bollywood actor Divyenndu.
The film is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the banner of Vriddhi Cinemas, and is presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings. Music is composed by A R Rahman. Cinematography is handled by Rathnavelu, editing by Naveen Nooli, and production design by Avinash Kolla.
