THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police searched the house of YouTuber K M Shajahan’s house in Ulloor. The search was following a complaint filed by ADGP Sreejith alleging that Shajahan was spreading caste hatred through social media. The action was after a search warrant was obtained from the court. The search was conducted when Shajahan and his family were not at home. When the police arrived, only his maid was in the house. The police entered the house, bypassing her when she tried to stop them.

Following a complaint filed by ADGP at the Museum Police Station, Shajahan was arrested a few days ago and released on bail. The case was that Shajahan's 'Prathipaksham' YouTube channel tried to defame the ADGP. Shajahan had made a video involving ADGP Sreejith in the Sabarimala gold theft. He filed a complaint against this. The ADGP in his complaint said Shajahan made derogatory remarks against him in three such videos.

The FIR said the remarks are defaming the ADGP and create disrespect for the police force among the public. Shajahan was arrested by the police in September in a case of cyber abuse against CPM leader J Shine and Vypin MLA Unnikrishnan.
