RIYADH: While the Taliban-led government in Afghanistan has asked foreign women journalists to cover their faces under Sharia law, another Muslim nation has completed the country's first flight with an all-female crew. Saudi Arabia has made history by operating flights with only female staff, including pilots and co-pilots. The service from Riyadh to Jeddah by Flyadeal Airlines became notable for with an al-female crew.

It is the first airline service in the world which exclusively includes only female employees. The seven-member crew, including the pilot, co-pilot and first officer, were all women. Flyadeal spokesperson said most of the crew were Saudi nationals. Airline officials after completing the first mission responded that this was a milestone in the country's empowerment.
