NEW DELHI: Supreme Court has taken a decision that will benefit Indian foootball. The Supreme Court has appointed a temporary governing body comprising former Justices Anil R Dave, Dr SY Qureshi and former Indian player Bhaskar Ganguly to oversee the affairs of the AIFF (All India Football Federation).

The activities of the All India Football Federation had come to a standstill after the term of the committee headed by Praful Patel expired in 2020. The lack of coverage of the Santosh Trophy football not only disappointed the fans but also embarrassed the country itself.
