Vlathankara Vrindavan Bhavan, native Alma.ML (33) was murdered by her husband, Vishnu (36), the other day. Vishnu had initially said that the mental anguish of not having children despite being married for 10 years led to the murder.
However, during further questioning, Vishnu revealed that it was Alma's craze with social media that angered him. Alma, who had 10,000 followers on social media, was always glued to her phone, according to the accused. Alma's hobby was posting photos with her pets, like cats and dogs.
The couple had no issues between them even two years after their marriage. The problems started when Alma became active on social media.
According to the accused:
When Vishnu returned home after tuition, Alma would be so engrossed in her phone that she wouldn’t even talk to him. Alma ignored the advice from Vishnu not to rely too much on social media. The ignorance and Alma’s craze with social media left Vishnu in mental stress. On the day of the incident, Vishnu stabbed Alma from behind as she was busy scrolling through her mobile phone.
