Dr. Urmila Soman of Aster Medcity Becomes India’s First SRC accredited Master Surgeon in Robotic Surgery

KOCHI: Dr. Urmila Soman, Senior Consultant - Minimally Invasive & Robotic Gynaecology (Kerala Cluster), Aster Medcity, Kochi has been officially recognized as India’s First SRC Accredited Master Surgeon in Robotic Surgery.

This prestigious accreditation is awarded by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC), a global nonprofit patient safety organization. The "Master Surgeon" designation signifies that Dr. Urmila Soman has met independent, and internationally recognized standards for performing high-volume, high-quality, and safe robotic-assisted procedures.

With over 23 years of expertise in laparoscopic gynaecological surgery, Dr. Urmila Soman was the first gynaecologist in the country to successfully complete 100 robotic gynaecological surgeries in 10 months.
