Holiday declared for all educational institutions in Thrissur tomorrow; orange alert in Ernakulam

THRISSUR: Considering the inclement weather and heavy downpour, the district collector announced a holiday for all educational institutions in Thrissur district on Tuesday (October 28). The holiday will be applied to professional colleges too.

CBSE, ICSC, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Anganwadis, Madrasas, and Tuition Centres will remain closed on Tuesday in the district.

There will be no change to the formerly scheduled exams, interviews in the district, announced district collector Arjun Pandian IAS.

Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department announced a possibility of rain with thundershowers in Kerala in the coming hours. There is a rain warning for all districts of Kerala. An orange alert was issued for Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur and Kozhikode districts today and a yellow alert for other districts.
