20-year-old woman of Indian origin subjected to sexual assault in UK; police release pictures of accused

LONDON: A 20-year-old woman of Indian origin was allegedly sexually assaulted in the West Midlands region of the United Kingdom. Following the incident, police have released images of a white male suspect believed to be involved in the crime.

According to reports, the case came to light after police found the woman on the streets and questioned her. During the subsequent investigation, authorities reviewed CCTV footage from the area and identified a man, estimated to be around 30 years old, seen wearing dark-coloured clothing.

This incident marks the second case of sexual assault involving women in their 20s in the West Midlands over the past two months. The Sikh Federation UK has urged authorities to expedite the investigation and ensure strict action against those responsible. Detective Superintendent Ronan Tyrer stated that efforts are underway to find the accused and assured that the perpetrator will be arrested soon. Meanwhile, reports indicate that the victim hails from Punjab.
