Lal cameo in 'Dies Irae'? Mohanlal's 'code red' profile picture creates social media buzz

Amidst the impending release of Pranav Mohanlal’s ambitious horror movie ‘Dies Irae’, actor Mohanlal changed his social media profile pictures in tune with the 'code red' trend of the movie. Both Pranav’s and Mohanlal’s profile pictures carry a red hue and look eerily similar.

Pranav and Mohanlal changed their profile pictures just before sharing the trailer of the movie. This has evoked suspicion among many about Mohanlal doing a cameo in the movie. Film buffs are discussing the possibility of both father-son duo sharing screen space in the movie. Pranav had earlier appeared in cameo roles in Mohanlal’s Empuraan and even in Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea.

A few reports suggest that Mohanlal will be doing a voice-over in the movie, but not a cameo. The veracity of the claim is questioned.

‘Dies Irae’ will mark the third successive horror movie for director Rahul Sadasivan after his critically acclaimed Mammootty movie ‘Bramayugam’. Dies Irae with an ensemble cast will hit the screens on October 31st.
