Every country prioritises the interests of its people. The United States is at the forefront of this with the slogan of "America First". The United States has long insisted that all countries in the world obey it. Countries that receive large amounts of aid from the United States obey the USA because of its moneypower. A high-ranking official in the US government recently commented that Pakistan has been deceiving the US for a long time in the name of obeying it. Pakistan's method is to be loyal to China and get financial assistance from the US in the name of India's threat.

However, India is not a country that practices such hypocrisy in its foreign policy. India has come a long way from the economic situation of the past. India has maintained good relations with other countries of the world except China and Pakistan. Its relations with Russia are decades old. There has not been a single point of disagreement between Russia and India in years. After Trump came to power for the second time in the United States, there have been some problems in relations with India due to the tariff war. India does not ask the permission of any country, including the United States, to respond to issues that question India's sovereignty. The counterattack in the Pahalgam incident is the biggest example.

Trump has repeatedly claimed that it was he who intervened to end the India-Pakistan confrontation that could have led to a nuclear war. However, India has made it clear with reasons that this is not true. The world is aware that Trump is a leader who makes such false statements in relation to many countries. Most recently, Trump has made another false statement in relation to India. Trump claimed that Prime Minister Modi had assured him that India would stop buying oil from Russia. Following this, the Union Ministry of External Affairs clarified that India's energy decisions are taken keeping the interests of the consumer in mind.

The United States and European countries have expanded sanctions against Russia in the wake of the Ukraine war. The United States has been pressuring India in recent months to join the sanctions and stop importing oil from Russia. Trump might have come up with the new claim as part of his attempt to mislead Russia, perhaps because he saw that this was ineffective. In addition to clarifying that Modi had not given Trump any such assurance, India has unequivocally stated that there will be no change in oil imports for the time being. India has also released figures that imports from Russia in October will be higher than in the previous month. It must be assumed that Trump's frequent false statements from the White House related to India are part of his business strategy.
