KOCHI: Customs officials are continuing with inspection at actor Amith Chakalakkal’s house as part of Operation Numkhor. There is clarity needed regarding the documents of the two cars owned by the actor. Land Cruiser, Lexus, registered in Chandigarh, Madhya Pradesh, was found in Amit’s garage. The cars have been taken into custody.

The customs also conducted a raid at the old residence of veteran actor Mammootty in Kochi’s posh Panampilly Nagar. As per reports, no anomalies were found regarding the cars owned by the veteran actor.

Meanwhile, actor Amit’s brother responded to the inspection at his house.

“We have been using one Land Cruiser for almost five years and another one for three years. The customs officials wanted to know where we purchased the cars from. Every detail has been handed over to them.’

However, customs officials doubt anomalies in the purchase and have even asked the actor to appear in person for questioning. The officials said that the actor is not cooperating with the inspection. Amit, meanwhile, summoned police and his personal lawyer to his house amid a customs inspection.
