LONDON: Hollywood actor Tom Holland, known for playing Marvel superhero Spider-Man, met with an accident during a film shoot. According to international media outlets, the accident took place during the shooting of the movie 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day'. The reports said that the actor sustained a head injury in the accident that occurred on September 19.
The Sun reported that a woman also sustained an injury in the accident. The film, which is being produced on a budget of $200 million, was being filmed at Leavesden Studios in Watford, England. Following the accident, the shoot has been stopped, and it remains unclear when production will resume.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is a joint venture between Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures, and is regarded as one of the studio’s most anticipated projects. Following the accident, Sony is expected to hold a meeting today to decide the next steps for the production.
