Reshmi had an illegal relationship with youth, Jayesh brought him home and brutally beat him; couple caught using intelligence trap

PATHANAMTHITTA: The remand report in the case of a couple bringing youths at home and brutally attacking them in Anthalimannu, has surfaced. The couple, Jayesh and Reshmi, brutally tortured youths of Ranni and Alappuzha. The report mentioned that Jayesh suspected Reshmi having an illicit affair with the native of Ranni. Jayesh also suspected that Reshmi's private pics were on the youth’s phone. The report says the youths were brutally tortured based on this suspicion.

Jayesh called the youth home on Thiruvonam day. When he reached home, the couple started attacking him. They tied his hands and feet with a shawl and hung him with a plastic rope. The report said the couple beat him with an iron rod and then hit him on his chest with a cycle chain.

Jayesh asked the youth to tell everyone that he was brutally attacked by his lover’s relatives. This is what the youth told the police initially. Accordingly, the police registered an FIR and started an investigation. However, the police brought the truth through a detailed investigation. Jayesh and Reshmi had met the youth's girlfriend earlier and told her to tell the police that her relatives attacked him brutally. This is how the couple was trapped. The police got information about the accused from her.
