One-year-old boy bites and kills cobra that coiled around his hand

PATNA: In a shocking incident, a one-year-old boy killed a snake by biting it while playing. The incident took place in Bettiah village, Bihar. The child, identified as Govinda, was playing near his house when the snake was killed.

While the boy was playing, the snake coiled around his hand. Reacting instinctively, Govinda bit into the snake’s body, killing it instantly.

A few hours later, Govinda’s condition began to deteriorate. The family first took him to a nearby Primary Health Centre and later shifted him to a medical college hospital. Doctors have stated that his condition is currently stable.

According to the child’s grandmother, Govinda’s mother was nearby collecting firewood when the snake entered the house. She also confirmed that the snake was a cobra.
