Four-year-old boy killed after car rams into charging station in Vagamon; Mother critically injured

KOTTAYAM: A four-year-old boy died tragically after a car rammed into an electric vehicle charging station in Vazhikkadavu, Vagamon, on Saturday evening. Ayan, the son of Arya, a native of Nemom, Thiruvananthapuram, was killed in the incident. Arya suffered serious injuries in the accident that took place around 3 pm on Saturday. The victims are natives of Nemom in Thiruvananthapuram.

Arya and Ayan were sitting on a chair at the side of the charging station after stopping their car to charge. Meanwhile, another car heading to the electric station lost control and rammed into the duo. Arya, seriously injured, was admitted to Mar Sleeva Hospital in Pala. Ayan, too, was rushed to the hospital, but his life couldn’t be saved.

Arya is a teacher at Pala Polytechnic College. CCTV footage of the accident has been released. It is reported that the car that caused the accident belongs to a native of Erattupetta.
