NEW DELHI: Air India and Boeing have responded after the release of the preliminary report containing vital findings over the Ahmedabad plane crash. Air India and Boeing have said that they will continue to fully cooperate with the investigation. Air India said in a statement that no further information can be released at this time as the investigation is ongoing.

‘Air India stands with the families of the victims and those affected by the crash. We continue to mourn the loss and are fully committed to providing support during this difficult time. We have received the preliminary report of the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau. We will fully cooperate with the investigation. We cannot comment on the information received at this time as the investigation is ongoing,’ Air India said in a statement. Boeing President and CEO Kelly Ortega responded that they will continue to cooperate with the investigation.

Although the preliminary investigation report of the Ahmedabad plane crash that shook the country has been released, the mystery continues. Within seconds of takeoff, both the engines stopped working. Investigations revealed that the switches that fed fuel to the engines had been turned off. The voice recording shows one pilot asking the other ‘who turned off the switches’ and the other responding, ‘I didn't.’
