THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kochi Blue Tigers have acquired Sanju Samson's brother Saly Vishwanath Samson in the Kerala Cricket League Season 2 auction. Sanju's elder brother Saly is an all-rounder in domestic cricket. He has also played for teams like KCA Royals and Wayanad in the past.
Kochi Blue Tigers acquired Saly for Rs 75,000. Saly (34) hopes to make his mark in the second season of the competition alongside his brother, who is likely to become the Blue Tigers captain. Saly was part of the Blue Tigers team in the first season as well. The incident became a hot topic when the presenter called out to Charu Sharma from the stage and said that Saly is Sanju Samson's brother.
The team bought Saly Samson at a base price when no other team bought him. The all-rounder has also played for South Zone in the Under-16 category. He was also a member of the Kerala Under-23 and Under-25 teams. The 34-year-old Saly has played six matches in List A.
