'Unusual scars found near private parts': New evidence out in social media influencer's death

CHANDIGARH: The autopsy report of popular influencer Kamal Kaur Bhabhi alias Kanchan Kumari (27) is out. There is no confirmation about sexual abuse, but unusual marks were found on her neck, thighs and even private parts.

The postmortem report indicates death due to respiratory failure following suffocation. The results of the examination of the woman's internal organs need to be obtained to know whether toxic substances or intoxicants were mixed in the body.

Kanchan Kumari was found dead in a sitting posture inside a car in the parking lot of Adesh Medical University in Bathinda on June 11. It was reported that she had died on June 10. The body was in a state of decomposition. The postmortem was conducted on June 12. The body parts were soggy due to decomposition.

The main accused in the case, Nihang Amritpal Singh Mehron, had fled to the UAE after the incident. He was a leader of a radical Sikh organisation. Earlier this month, he had asked Kamal Kaur to participate in a car promotion event. On June 9, Kamal Kaur left with Amritpal and was not heard from again. Her dead body would be found two days later.

After the murder, Amritpal Singh posted a video castigating Kamal for her inappropriate dressing in videos and warned women influencers to dress modestly or face the same fate as Kamal. Police arrested one co-accused in custody. According to their statements, Amritpal Singh had visited near Kanchan Kumari's residence in Ludhiana three months ago to learn more about her lifestyle and habits.
