'Do not fall for such advertisements'; Kerala Police flags deceptive social media ads and Telegram group scams

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Police has issued a warning advising people not to fall for deceptive advertisements. According to the police, fraudsters are using social media platforms and websites to lure people with attractive promises of making money through online trading. The warning was issued through social media.

'Such fraudsters are also active in Telegram groups. People should invest money only after thoroughly verifying the applications and websites intended for trading. If you fall victim to an online financial scam, inform the police within one hour by calling 1930,' the Kerala Police stated in their message.

Meanwhile, the police also warned that strict action will be taken against those who post or share fake news on social media. The warning from the Kerala Police comes amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan.
