PATHANAMTHITTA: CPM General Secretary M A Baby denied rumours of getting sidelined at the inauguration ceremony of the new building of the AKG Centre.

Although I am technically the party's general secretary, Pinarayi has more experience. There is nothing wrong with him inaugurating the AKG Centre. Pinarayi is a senior leader from Kerala in the Politburo and the Central Committee. During EMS’ tenure as CPM general secretary, senior leader Bhalchandra Trimbak Ranadive laid the foundation stone of AKG Bhavan in Delhi.

He also demanded that the central government take strong action to curb terrorism.

“The country is united in this regard, regardless of political differences. Terrorism has no connection with religion. Terrorism in Kashmir should not be linked to any religion. The RSS is happy that minority terrorism is growing.

What I said in an article is that the people of Kashmir are experiencing the consequences of the abrogation of Article 370. It should not be linked to the Pahalgam attack.

Abdul Nasar Ma'dani, is a changed man who gave up all his proclivities towards radicalism. So the same reason, he is now my friend. At some point in his life, Abdul Nasar Ma'dani committed some sins. However, he is now a changed man.”
