‘Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil’, the movie that intrigued viewers with hilarious promotional interviews was released today. And here are the responses for the movie from theatres on the first day.

It seems like the movie has already taken a plunge to be the new thing from Mollywood. Not even one audience had anything sour to say about this Prithviraj movie. Praises are showered for the versatility of Basil Joseph, who according to the audience is the driving force of the movie. The audience doesn’t have the opinion that Basil’s performance eclipses that of Prithviraj. The superstar has delivered a subtle performance with his inimitable tinge of comic timing to make this one worth remembering. The music of the movie also received special laurels from the audience.

“I thought the trailer was a very hackneyed one with overt use of comic gestures. But the movie was a revelation. This is beautiful. I would say it was Prithviraj who scored with this one. The whole film reminisces of the Priyadarshan movies of yesteryear. All the cast is coming for the climax and it feels refreshing as if watching a movie from the 90s. This is surely the next 100 crore movie from mollywood.” One audience commented.

“The dialogue and the humour will connect with the family audience and they will take this movie to their heart. I came to watch Anaswara Rajan’s performance but was bowled over by the Basil-Prithviraj show “ came another comment.
