KOCHI: 64-year-old Leelamma, who became an overnight sensation on social media by dancing to the popular Malayalam song 'Oru Madhurakkinavin Lahariyiletho...', is making her way to the big screen. Leelamma's son 'Avvai Santhosh' said that his mother has received invitations to act in three films, including a Mohanlal-starrer. Leelamma is the wife of the late drama actor John K Pallikkara.

"It was not my mother who picked up the phone as she was busy talking to visitors. We didn't ask who the caller was or who the director was. One of the callers said he would come directly to the house and talk," Santhosh said. Santhosh is also a television actor.

With her dance video going viral, several people are visiting Leelamma at her house. There is no rest for her phone either. It is her children who are answering the calls. Some are approaching Leelamma for an interview as well.

Danced during relative's wedding function
The viral dance video was captured two days ago during the wedding function of Leelamma's relative in Pattambi. Leelama got on the stage and danced as per her son's request. The revelation that Leelamma isn't a professional dancer has taken many by surprise.

Celebrities such as Kunchacko Boban, Rahman and Sithara Krishnakumar have shared the dance video on social media. Minister V Sivankutty also congratulated her. Leelamma's other children are Mini Joy and Sini Sudheer.
