'One nation, One leader theory unacceptable'; says Rahul Gandhi in Kerala

KALPETTA: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday termed the Modi government's move to impose the BJP's policy of one country, one leader in India unacceptable. He was speaking after participating in a roadshow held at six centres in Wayanad.

“Congress is fighting against the hardline notions of RSS. However, the theory of one nation and one leader is unacceptable. Workers of Congress meanwhile consider all people of India as equals. As per Congress, anyone from India could become the prime minister of the country. A boca can have many different types of flowers. It is not classified as large or small based on its size or colour. All flowers have equal importance. That is the ideology of Congress. Making linguistic distinctions or telling us to use one language is tantamount to suppressing our culture.” said Rahul Gandhi.
