One sovereign gold to cost over Rs 50,000; unprecedented price rise in Kerala

KOCHI: The cost of one sovereign of gold crossed a whopping Rs 50,000 for the first time in the state’s history. As of now, one sovereign of gold in Kerala costs around 50,400 rupees. For one gram of gold, the price jumped from Rs 130 to Rs 6300.

With gold being a commodity that perennially attracts investors' eyes, analysts and economists believe that the price range will further soar in the coming days. The difference in the exchange rate of the dollar caused the gold price to rise.
