Circulating sexually offensive morphed images; Vadakara candidate KK Shailaja files complaint against UDF with Election Commission

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: LDF candidate from Vadakara KK Shailaja has filed a complaint against UDF for spreading sexually morphed images through social media with the intention of defamation. The complaint was filed with the Election Commission, the Chief Minister and the Kozhikode City Police Commissioner.

In the complaint, it has been alleged that the morphed pictures of the Left candidate and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan are being used for fake propaganda. Shailaja said that the online abuse was done without even considering her as a woman. The complaint also states that campaigning is being done with the knowledge and consent of the UDF candidate.

The complaint demanded action against the person who commented in obscene language on the messages of the candidate requesting votes and against the person who morphed the pictures and circulated them in the social media group.

On the other hand, the UDF says that there was no cyber attack against KK Shailaja. UDF asked why the non-existent issues should be propagated when there are so many issues to be raised against Shailaja and the Left Front.
