'M M Mani's face is like a roasted cashew nut'; Congress leader makes abusive remarks against former minister

IDUKKI: Congress Devikulam mandalam convener OR Sasi has made an abusive remark against CPM leader and former minister M M Mani. Speaking at the UDF convention held in Munnar yesterday, Sasi said that looking at MM Mani's face was like looking at a roasted cashew nut.

Sasi went on to insult the former minister by saying that Mani was born in some quarry. "Dean Kuriakose looks handsome because his parents are beautiful. Dean was born in a super speciality hospital, whereas Mani was born in some quarry," he said.

OR Sasi made abusive remarks against Mani in response to MM Mani's remarks against UDF candidate Dean Kuriakose.

Last week, Mani had sparked a controversy by hurling derogatory remarks against Dean Kuriakose, the UDF candidate in Idukki. Speaking at an event in Thookkupalam, Mani said that Dean was a eunuch who was as good as dead.

"Now they've pasted pictures of a person covered in powder (talcum), Dean. Did he ever speak out? Has he raised his voice for Kerala? What did he do? He goes to the beauty parlour, takes photos and roams around without standing for the people. A eunuch," Mani said.

He also said that Dean would lose his security deposit in the Lok Sabha elections.
