‘Will get chance if video-called; FEFKA threatened when complained of sexual assault’

THRISSUR: A woman makeup artist raised sexual allegation on a film set. The woman of Thrissur raised the allegation against makeup artist Shaji Pulpally.
She also alleged that he asked to video call to get more opportunities. The woman said that when she approached the office bearers of Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) with the complaint, they threatened her.

FEFKA had earlier welcomed the appointment of a special investigation team by the government for the survivors to complain about the sexual crimes in the film industry and to find and punish the perpetrators through proper investigation. The organization had informed that the core committee of women members of FEFKA will be tasked with making the survivors to file complaints and take legal action and ensure all possible legal assistance to them. In the meantime, the woman came forward alleging that the officials of the organization had threatened her when complained about her incident.
