K T Jaleel responds to abusive remarks against League chief Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal

MALAPPURAM: The LDF candidate from Thavanur K T Jaleel has strongly criticized the abusive post against Muslim League chief Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal. There is an attempt to insult Sadiq Ali, who is respected regardless of politics, and should be careful against it, responded Jaleel. He said the actions of those who create and spread fake images using AI technologies are unforgivable and demanded that strict action be taken against such people. Jaleel said that will continue to criticize Sadiq Ali politically, but has never attacked him personally.

The respected Thangal is also the Khali of Thozhuvanoor Mahal, which I belong to. We should be vigilant against the unscrupulous moves made to defame him in the society. Using new technological systems, anyone can be made into anything.

I know him personally since my school days. He was my senior for three years and we studied together in 'Samasthalaya'. Since then, I have known him very closely. He is a person who has earned a place in my heart with his respectful behavior and noble approach. I have criticized him politically and that will continue, but has not attacked him personally and will never do it.

Sadiq Ali’s wife Sulfath Beevi was my classmate in PSMO College. We were in the same class for English and Arabic. The pictures using artificial intelligence (AI) on social media against Sadiq Ali are completely fake. The great crime committed by those who adopt such methods to malign any gentleman is unforgivable. The League leadership's stand that strong legal action will be taken against false propaganda is welcomed. The police should intervene strongly. The culprits should be punished strictly. The seriousness of the matter will be conveyed to the chief minister. Along with Sadiq Ali in this matter,' penned Jaleel.

The Muslim League alleged that it was posted with the intention of defaming them from a fake ID. The post has now been deleted. The Malappuram Cyber Crime Police has registered a case on the complaint filed by the League. Sections such as defamation, creating provocation, and forging a forged document have been imposed.
