Dispute over plucking watermelon from field; 13-year-old stabbed to death, two arrested

AGRA: In a shocking incident, a 13-year-old boy was stabbed to death for plucking a watermelon from a field owned by his own family. The shocking incident took place in Kheda village in Basai Jagner, Agra. Police have arrested two people in connection with the murder. The accused, identified as Riyasuddin and Shirasuddin, were taken into custody last night. Tension continues in the area following the incident.

The farmland belonged to the boy’s family but had been leased to the accused. The family was also involved in the farming along with them. On the day of the incident, a dispute broke out between the boy and the accused after he plucked a watermelon from the field. In a fit of anger, the accused attacked the boy with a knife.

When the boy did not return home, his sister went in search of him and found his body lying in a pool of blood in the field. The body was later shifted to a hospital for post-mortem examination. Police arrested the accused on the same day and registered a murder case against them.
