THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The setback in the elections was too embarrassing as criticism continues non-stop against former Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in CPM committees. Parasala CPM Area Secretary Adv S Jayakumar demanded that Pinarayi Vijayan resign from the post of MLA. The remark was made in the area committee report. The meeting opined that Pinarayi should resign from the post of MLA and set an example.

CPM state secretariat member KK Jayachandran attended the meeting.

“Pinarayi is fully responsible for the election defeat. The party trailed in six rounds, even in the stronghold of Dharamdam. Pinarayi is unfit to be the opposition leader. Pinarayi should resign from his MLA post and show dignity.” The criticism comes from the same area secretary who performed the infamous 'Karanbhootan' song in praise of Pinarayi.
