'False propaganda ongoing against me'; Keerthy Suresh opens up
Keerthy Suresh, a national award-winning actress and the daughter of actor couple Suresh Kumar and Menaka, is on a small hiatus from the film industry. Keerthy’s wedding, which took place a few months ago, had made headlines. Now, Keerthy Suresh is opening up about the body shaming she faced and the false propaganda ongoing against her.
Keerthy Suresh:
“While entering the acting world in 2013, I had no idea about how important fitness was. It was only after 2018, after the movie 'Mahanadi', that I started caring more about fitness. The same people who made fun of me when I was overweight are now of the opinion that the old, overweight look suited me better than my current slim version. I am clueless about how people think.
When I lost 10 kg in nine months, many alleged that I had surgery to achieve the weight loss. I just want to say that everything was natural, and I achieved it through sheer hard work.
Yoga brought big changes in my fitness journey and has been a part of my life since 2020. Today I am proud of how I look. Still, people make comments about me. If you are fat, they tell you to be thin; if you are thin, they want you to be fat.”
