'I don't like Trisha at all, she is a parasite that has entered Vijay's life'; renowned singer lashes out

Rumours linking Vijay and actress Trisha Krishnan have been circulating on social media for the past few months. The discussions grew stronger after reports emerged that Vijay's wife, Sangeetha Sornalingam, had approached the court seeking a divorce.

Speculation increased further after videos of Vijay and Trisha attending a wedding function together in March went viral online. Trisha was also present at Vijay's swearing-in ceremony yesterday and attracted significant public attention. However, both Vijay and Trisha have remained silent on the ongoing rumours and controversy. Amid this, comments made by singer Suchitra in an earlier interview are now drawing attention.

“I like Vijay very much. I am saying this honestly without taking anyone’s side. I do not like Trisha at all. I am saying this objectively. When successful people become isolated, parasites can enter their lives. Vijay has become distant from his parents and wife. He has still not done proper self-reflection,” Suchitra said in the interview.

According to reports, Sangeetha filed for divorce in December 2025, citing mental distress and betrayal as reasons in the petition. Vijay and Sangeetha got married 27 years ago. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for June 15.
