PATHANAMTHITTA: Abhirami, who died after being bitten by a stray dog ​​in Ranni Perunad, had antibodies against rabies in her body. This became clear during the tests conducted at the Institute of Virology, Pune.

The health department concluded that the virus may have infected the brain very quickly due to the bite on the eye. The report indicates that the virus had spread even before administering the vaccine. Abhirami was given three vaccines before her death. A test result confirming the presence of antibody indicates that it was effective. Antibodies against the virus are formed in the body when the vaccine is received.
