Famous music director Paris Chandran passes away

KOZHIKODE: Famous film and drama music director Paris Chandran has passed away. He was 66 years old. His real name is Chandran Veyyattummal. He died at Kozhikode Medical College Hospital in the evening due to heart disease. He was a notable presence in the field of Malayalam drama and music. He has composed music for many plays and movies.

Funeral will be held tomorrow at his home in Narikkuni, Kozhikode.

He received State award in 2008 for Best Background Score in the film 'Bioscope'. He is also the winner of the Kerala State Television Award in 2010 and have composed music for films 'Njan Steve Lopez', 'Amoeba' and 'Chailyam'.
