Police inspection at PC George's house after bail denial; it is hinted that arrest will take place later

pc

KOCHI: Though the Ernakulam District Sessions Court has rejected the anticipatory bail of PC George in the case of hate speech in Vennala, it is hinted that the arrest will not take place soon. Meanwhile, the police is conducting a search at PC George's house in Muvattupuzha. The police inspection is led by Kochi DCP VU Kuriakose. It is learned that the Panangad CI is also included in the police team. A search is also being conducted at his brother's house which is nearby. Now PC George is not at home.

The Ernakulam District Sessions Court said that it had examined the speech of PC George and that it would lead to religious sectarianism and disrupt communal harmony. Imposing of sections 152A and 295A cannot be claimed as unnecessary, the court said in its judgment dismissing the anticipatory bail.

George's arrest will take place only after the verdict of Thiruvananthapuram court in the case regarding provocative speech in Thiruvananthapuram. Currently 80 percent of the investigation is complete. There are indications that PC George is absconding after his bail was denied. Police found that George's phones were in the house and are in a switched off condition.
