Lalettan @ 62, birthday celebration in Mumbai

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Superstar Mohanlal turns 62 today. Lal, who was in Qatar yesterday, will arrive in Mumbai on his birthday. He will attend a cake cutting celebration with friends and fans in Mumbai. The actor's mother Shanthakumari, who is in Kochi now, has made arrangements for poojas in various temples.

Fans will be celebrating Lalettan's birthday as usual. Mohanlal fans across the state will give their consent for organ donation today in collaboration with the government's 'Mritasanjeevani' scheme. Special sadyas will be held at orphanages and women's shelters under the auspices of various committees of the Fans Association.

Minister GR Anil will inaugurate the celebrations at 3 pm at the Transport Employees Hall in Thiruvananthapuram. There will be a distribution of study materials for 100 students and food kits for the financially backward.

Mohanlal will go abroad next month to work on the final stages of 'his directorial debut 'Barroz.' His latest movie '12th Man', which was released on OTT yesterday, has received a good response.
