PATNA: The CBI is conducting raid at the houses and offices of Bihar former chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadava and his daughter. The investigating team is conducting the raid in connection with a new case registered in connection with an allegation of corruption.

A new case has been registered against Lalu Prasad Yadav weeks after he was granted bail in a fodder scam case for alleged irregularities in the appointments when he was union railway minister. The family members of Lalu Prasad Yadav have also been named accused in the new case. The raids are carried out in 15 places including the residences of Yadav, Rashtriya Janata Dal chief.

He walked out of jail last month after the Jharkhand High Court granted him bail in the Rs 139 crore Doranda Treasury scam case. A CBI special court had in February sentenced him to five years in prison in the case. He was also fined Rs 60 lakh.
