Brave son of India, Bhagat Singh will be included in Kerala textbooks, says Minister Sivankutty

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister B Sivankutty informed that Kerala government will include Bhagat Singh's biography in its textbooks. The minister was responding to the Karnataka government's move to omit a portion on Bhagat Singh from the Kannada textbook.

Martyr Bhagat Singh is the brave son of India and he will be included in Kerala textbooks. No matter how others try yo distort history is, Bhagat Singh's name cannot be erased, said the minister. In a Facebook post, Sivankutty clarified that Bhagat Singh's history will be taught in Kerala.

The BJP government in Karnataka on Monday dropped Bhagat Singh from the syllabus and included RSS leader Hedgewar's speech. There was strong criticism against this. But the Karnataka government explained that they included Hedgewar's speech related to subjects which inspires the youth.
