Car crash in Chicago; two Indian students dead, three injured, one in critical condition

ILLINOIS: Two Indian students were killed in a collision between two vehicles in Chicago. Three students have been injured. Out of which, one is in critical condition. The incident took place on last Thursday morning.

The accident occurred as a Toyota car, carrying five Indian students, collided with another car. The driver of the opposite car lost control and led to the crash.

The car was driven by Indian graduate students of southern Illinois University-Carbondale. The dead have been identified as Pavan Swarna (23) and Vamshi K Pechetty (23) of Carbondale and Marie A Meunier (32) of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. They had died at the scene of the crash. The others, who were injured in the accident, namely Yaswanth S Uppalapati (23), Kalyan Dorna (24) and Kakumanu Karthik (23) have been admitted to the hospital. Karthik has suffered serious injuries and is in a critical state.
