19-year-old Malayalee girl shot dead in USA

ALABAMA: A 19-year-old Malayalee girl was shot dead in America. The victim has been identified as Mariam Susan Mathew of Thiruvalla. The incident happened at Montgomery in Alabama Monday morning local time.

A man staying on the upper floor shot her when she was sleeping. The bullets pierced through the ceiling and killed her. The police announced a detailed investigation on the incident. No one has been arrested so far.

Mariam reached America four months ago. She is the daughter of Boban Mathew and Bincy, a native of Niranam in Pathanamthitta. She has two brothers. Three Keralites were shot dead in USA in a span of the one and a half months.
