Snake Master Vava Suresh rescues ‘224th’ King Cobra from populated Palode in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: On Monday Snake Master Vava Suresh had an important mission. He rescued a King Cobra from Palode in Thiruvananthapuram. It was the 224th King Cobra that he rescued in his life. It was spotted in a canal at Palode X Colony Junction in Thiruvananthapuram district.

The snake was first noticed by children playing in the canal. Locals immediately informed ward member Geetha Praji, who in turn informed Vava Suresh. Vava reached the spot and caught the snake, which was lying on the side of the canal. The king cobra had a deep wound on its body.
It was a five-year-old female king cobra. Vava rescued it and handed it over to forest officials for releasing it into the Chozhiakode forest. Vava Suresh had treated the snakes wound and applied medicines before handing it over to the forest officials.
