NEW DELHI: The Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of Tibet, has said that China will not be able to change the mentality of the Tibetan people no matter how hard it tries. The Dalai Lama was speaking in a video released after a meeting with US Special Coordinator for Tibetan Issues, Uzra Zeya, The video was released by the Tibetan exile administration in Dharamshala in India.

According to Dalai Lama, China's attempts to subvert the minds of the Tibetan people had failed. The Dalai Lama said that China was changing rapidly and that socialism and Marxism had no place in China now. He added that India and the United States had a long tradition of independence and democracy.
