Kerala records 42,154 COVID-19 cases on Monday, 10 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 42,154 COVID-19 cases on Monday. Among these, 38,406 persons developed the disease through contact, including 3234 cases without an identified source of infection. 174 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 340 health workers contracted the disease on Monday.

38,458 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 3,57,552 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 10 deaths due to the virus on Monday with the toll rising to 54,395.

District wise breakup of positive cases:

Ernakulam 9453, Thrissur 6177, Kozhikode 4074, Thiruvananthapuram 3271, Kottayam 2840, Kollam 2817, Palakkad 2718, Malappuram 2463, Alappuzha 2074, Kannur 1572, Idukki 1451, Pathanamthitta 1338, Wayanad 1062, Kasaragod 844.

99,410 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
