Aadu and Aadu 2 were very popular films. The films, scripted and directed by Mithun Manuel Thomas, were produced by Vijay Babu under the banner of Friday Film House. Vijay Babu had hinted through his social media that Aadu 3 is a time travel film. It is reported that the film will hit the theatres on March 19, 2026.

The film's director Mithun Manuel Thomas had mentioned at the pooja function that the film will be presented in the fantasy and humour genre. In addition, all the actors from Aadu 1 and 2 are there in the third part. Mithun also said that there will be a few new faces along with them.
