Another car accident after 11 years, Hesham Abdel Halim loses his 29-year-old eldest son
SHARJAH: The expatriate community is in tears after the death of a 29-year-old in a car accident in the UAE. The parents, who lost their youngest son in a car accident 11 years ago, have now lost their eldest son in another accident. This misfortune has befallen a family from Egypt. It is Amr Hesham (29), who worked for a charity organisation in Dubai, who died in the accident.
Amr's younger brother Kareem Hesham died in a car accident in 2014. Amr's parents are in the hospital after their health deteriorated after hearing the news of their eldest son's death. Amr is the son of Dr. Hesham Abdel Halim, head of the Student Activities Department at the University of Sharjah, and Yasmeen Hesham.
Amr had been staying at a friend's house after attending a concert on Friday night. His car hit a pole at the Arjan Roundabout at around 7am when he was on his way back from there on Saturday, said his friend and close friend from school, Soni Idrees.
Amr was rushed to hospital but could not be saved. His body was buried in Sharjah on Sunday, near the burial site of his brother Kareem.
